Beginning of the visit to the famous Majorelle Gardens, former home of the French painter, 3-dimensional work of art in green / blue shades: Jacques Majorelle moved to Marrakech in 1919 to pursue his career as a painter, where he acquired land which will become the Majorelle garden.
Following a car accident, he returned to France, where he died in 1962. In 1980, Pierre Bergé and Yves Saint Laurent bought the garden and the restaurant. At the heart of the tumult of city life in Marrakech, the Majorelle garden offers freshness and tranquility to visitors.
Continuation with the visit of the Menara gardens: large garden with olive trees, The central basin, 200 m long and 150 m wide, dates from the Almohad period (12th century), formerly used to irrigate the town’s plantations.
Then the outing ends with an orientation tour in the palm grove gardens, the rocky desert of Marrakech.
